In his place, Peloton has started a “comprehensive search process” for his replacement and two executives will become interim co-CEOs in the meantime. Cracks might finally be forming in the Federal Reserve's firm hawkish stance, according to Fundstrat Global Advisors' Tom Lee. As investors expected, the Fed kept interest rates unchanged after central bank policymakers had their meeting. "That's not really an inflationary signal, so I think the bar is actually being lowered now for the Fed to cut and I think that's something many people picked up." All in all, Lee thinks there's a "good probability" that interest rates are currently at their peak. If inflation does indeed improve in the next few months and interest rates fall, he has optimistic prospects for stocks.

CNN —While Singapore and Doha’s airports compete against each other for the title of “world’s best,” another aviation hub is focusing on a different achievement. Japan’s Kansai International Airport (KIX) is marking 30 years without losing a single piece of luggage. In a press statement, Japan’s seventh busiest airport said that it had not lost any passenger bags since opening in September 1994. It’s worth noting that according to the airport, their baggage handlers and ground staff have never lost a bag. Timely baggage arrival is just one of the factors looked at when naming a “world’s best” airport.

At the University of California, Los Angeles, student journalists reporting on violent clashes between protesters said they were assaulted and gassed. On some college campuses rocked by the demonstrations, access has been restricted to students only, effectively making student journalists the only reliable news media reporting on the campus protests and clashes. Student Editor Anna Dai-Liu told CNN that she was gassed, and other student reporters were assaulted, with one reporter being taken to emergency care. “Student journalists have a unique and essential role on their campuses in observing and disseminating news,” said Gary Green, executive director of the Student Press Law Center. Jelani Cobb, dean of the Columbia Journalism School, also applauded student journalists for their reporting on the campus protests.

DoubleLine Capital CEO Jeffrey Gundlach said Wednesday that he now sees no more than one interest rate cut this year as the Federal Reserve keeps policy tight to fight stubborn inflation. "The inflation rate clearly is the one that is lacking progress as [Jerome Powell] put it, so I'm going to lean on one rate cut," Gundlach said on CNBC's " Closing Bell." "Higher for longer … seems like the mantra continues, but without a rate hike. Treasury yields dropped to their session lows and stocks shot to session highs as Powell said the next policy move will not be a rate increase. "I think it's unlikely that the next policy rate move will be a hike.
